During and after Act 3: Describe Cyrano's mixed feelings when he speaks to Roxane unseen. Why might be be both happy and sad? An idealist is someone who follows his or her beliefs beyond the point of practicality and who acts as if the world were better than it really is. From what you have seen of Cyrano so far, show how he is an idealist.

"What do you think about Roxane? Will her thoughts change about love?" said Shayla. I have a couple thoughts about this. For the first question, from what the readers know about Roxane she is very well likes by many men, she is beautiful, and loves to watch plays. Roxane seems like a very sweet, caring girl. Roxane is a flat character from all we know now, but there is nothing to hold against her, she is a very likable person. For the second question, right now she is in love with Christian. I believe that her thoughts of love will change throughout the play. Cyrano truly cares for Roxane not like Christian, only liking her from her appearance. You have to enjoy the qualities about the one you love, not just their looks, or it is not true love. Roxane will come to realize that Cyrano is right for her, and hopefully choose him.- Katie Rinehart
